About Us

Cody & LeRee' Hensen | Hello and thanks for your interest in Royal Tine and pursuing a lifestyle in the outdoors. Below we have given you a little information on ourselves and hopefully we'll meet you in a upcoming class.
Check out our braggin' photo album of some critters we have harvested over the years.
We are avid rifle and archery hunters and spend well over 300 days outdoors and over 200 days actually hunting/guiding every year!!
Both Cody and LeRee have ranching and stock backgrounds being born and raised in rural Montana. Every year we guide, pack and cook for outfitters in Montana and Alaska. Over the years, we have also worked for outfitters in Idaho and Wyoming.
We maintain a herd of 26 horses and mules as well as a pack of black and tan hounds. We have a game retrieval and contract packing business on the side. Usually, we are contracted to pack in rough-cut lumber, hand tools and generators for wilderness trail maintenance. We definitely have the experience and knowledge to pass along to you.
Every spring, LeRee' teaches hunters safety to all the upcoming hunters in our area. In 1993, she graduated from Missoula Vo-tech as a certified small engine mechanic and pipe welder. She is also first aid certified and active in all aspects of owning and operating the guide and packer school.
She is the main instructor of the camp cook schools. Late summer, LeRee' cooks for an outfitter in Alaska (see some pictures here) and every fall and winter she guides hunters for lion, elk and deer in Montana.
Cody holds a Montana outfitter license, graduated in 1992 with a BS degree in business and a minor in human resources management from the University of Montana. He is involved in all aspects of owning and operating the guide and packer school. He is your main guide school instructor and is first aid certified.
Every year in early fall; Cody is packing and guiding Dall sheep and moose hunters in Alaska.
Check out some of our Alaska pictures here. Late fall and winter will find him guiding elk, deer and lion hunters in Montana. In the winter between chasing mountain lions, Cody likes to weld and mechanic in his spare time!!
For fun, both Cody and LeRee' like to ski, snowmobile, trail ride into wilderness areas on horses and hike the hills looking for shed elk antlers. We just can't get enough of the recreation opportunities the western states offer.
We started the guide and packer school in 1994 and every year it just keeps getting better.
Erv Malnarich, the founder of the ELM Guides Bible home study course and job placement service, approached Cody with the idea of operating one of his approved guide schools. After a little thought, Cody accepted because with all his experience and a college degree in business, he was a perfect candidate.
We have continued since that day and every year brings us new challenges to overcome and perfect.
