This class is set up for those that would like to learn many of the skills of the guide class, but really have no intentions of working as a guide. This class will improve your skills and experience in the back country, whether you want to try some do-it-yourself trips, or you are just looking for a new and exciting adventure, Royal Tine offers just the course for you.

The Curriculum covers the following:
Basic Horsemanship and care, Introduction to fly fishing, Map, Compass and GPS navigation, Wilderness survival, Proper camping gear and equipment, Outdoor and Camp Cooking and other skills like basic knots, use of axes and saws, bear safety and more. The class also includes a 4 day horse pack trip where we will put a lot of your new skills to use as we travel the beautiful backcountry trails of Western Montana.
