Beef Brisket in Beer

Beef Brisket in Beer
Serving Size  : 6   


   3      lbs           beef brisket
   2      tsp           salt
   1/4    tsp           pepper
   2                    onions -- sliced
               
  12 oz bottle  chili sauce
  12 oz         beer
   2      Tbsp          brown sugar
   2      cloves        garlic -- crushed

    Place beef in roaster, fat side up. Trim fat. Season with salt and pepper and top with sliced onions.
   Combine chili sauce, beer, brown sugar and garlic and pour over meat.
Cover and bake at 325* for 3 1/2 to 4 hours, basting often. Uncover and bake another 30 to 45 minutes.

Serve with buttered noodles and peas.

NOTES :     Can be made a day ahead, degreased and reheated. Leftovers good
sliced or chopped and served in warm flour tortillas with sour cream, horseradish and chopped tomatoes.

that's one I think I will give a try too.     Think I will wait for one of them chilly autumn days.    Will let ya know how it turns out
