Cowboy Coffee
Start with a clean coffee pot (approx 1 gal.) and fill with fresh water to the start of the spout. Bring water to a boil, turn down heat then add 1 cup coffee grounds. Watch carefully as it could boil over. If it boils too high, then stir down with a spoon. Bring to another boil for one minute or until all froth is gone. Turn off heat and settle coffee grounds with one cup cold water poured around the top of pot and down spout. A dash of salt is optional. Keep pot warm on stove warming tray, but don’t allow to boil anymore as this will make coffee bitter.
