Directions and recipe for 2 slabs
Cut rib slabs in half. Remove excess fat. Place in roaster pan or large 14" dutch oven as upright as possible. Cook @ 250 degrees for 2 ½ hours. Remove and cut into individual ribs. Pour off fat and meat juice. The sauce can be made while the ribs are slow cooking to have ready.
Sauce
2 cans beer
1 bottle BBQ sauce (16 oz)
1 pkg. onion soup mix
½ cup honey
1 jar strawberry jam
Simmer until thickened (about 30-40minutes), then pour over ribs. Cook for 1 hour more, basting every 15 minutes. This could be a summer BBQ meal idea. Along with coleslaw and some dinner rolls.
