My WHOLE family is going camping for the next 4days. 12 people . I am the designated camp cook. For one of the nites  I planned a cagun style crab boil. Crab , shrimp, taters , corn on the cob , and spicy sausage all boiled together . I will let you all know how it turned out .

That sure sounds good Cracker. I'd like to go camping for 4 days, but the warmest it's been here in a week, is 21deg. mid-afternoon. Think I'll wait till summer.

The crab boil was GREAT !!! I  have a new respect for full time camp cooks . I volutered to be the cook this weeked for 12 people. I wanted to test myself. I thought I did well , considerng I am self taught. I made some great dishes , includeing my mixed berry cobbler and the crab boil.  I learned that being organized is a must when cooking for that many. I am used to only cooking for about 4-5 people at a time. The crab , taters , shrimp , and corn were all piled on the table for people to dig in.  I had three tables set up each with a pile in the middle.  Grin

Yea like Hal says, you're not scrawny are ya!
But that crab boil sounds great.  Did you do it all in one pot, kinda like a milk can dinner?

Ya all in one HUGE pot. But you have to do it in stages , everything cooks at a different rate so you start with the stuff that takes the longest to cook and finish with the stuff that takes the least time to cook. I will post the directions later when I get home from work.

Sounds like you did a great job on it all.   Come on up to the oposite corner of the U.S. and make a batch here.   Grin
