I want to try and get him some big game this year and amyadvice on where might b a good place would b much appreciated.

are you from montana and want to stay in that state ? tons of options.i think one of the best begginers hunt to go on is a wyoming antelope hunt. you see 100's of goats, can stalk different goats all day, and get enough chances you'll be sure to fill your tags.
i'm pretty sure montana has a bunch of doe tags that are easy to get. and i'd bet eastern montana antelope is pretty similer to wyomings.
sometimes, unless you do your homework, getting a kid a tougher hunt for the first year they can hunt can burn them out a little. they want action packed hunting. if you can get him that on elk that would be awsome, if not try an easy to kill tag for him
