hey Cody and everyone out there, my lil brother started hunting last year he has been on duck and goose hunts that were productive but not any big game. I was curious to ask anyone if Rey new am area in Montana that's over the counter tags for elk ( cow or bull) pronghorn or deer ( again either sex). I want to try and get him some big game this year and amyadvice on where might b a good place would b much appreciated.

colorado has over the counter elk tags for nonresidents.

are you from montana and want to stay in that state ?  tons of options.i think one of the best begginers hunt to go on is a wyoming antelope hunt. you see 100's of goats, can stalk different goats all day, and get enough chances you'll be sure to fill your tags.

i'm pretty sure montana has a bunch of doe tags that are easy to get. and i'd bet eastern montana antelope is pretty similer to wyomings.

sometimes, unless you do your homework, getting a kid a tougher hunt for the first year they can hunt can burn them out a little.  they want action packed hunting. if you can get him that on elk that would be awsome, if not try an easy to kill tag for him

no I live in northern California on the Nevada border I just had gone to codys guide school and remember him sayin u could get over the gunter tags in some places. I want to hunt Wyoming Colorado I heard Idaho is good or mayb Utah but I'll look into the Wyoming goat hunts the one bummer that I found with that is the fact most opprotunities come from private land that require a 1000$ per hunter tresspass fee what area of Colorado would b where I wana look at for getting a cow elk tag? I appeiciate the help guys I'll start looking into some more hunts

so yea Colorado seems to have alot of tags available dice I've never hunted it I'm curious what areas ( north east west south) in Colorado would b the one to hunt around I'll prolly just get a cow elk tag for him thanks again
