I have found a TV show on the RFD TV channel here in PA that focuses on campfire cooking and recipes. I have only seen one episode but it seems to be very informative and helpful. The RFD TV channel is on Dish network and DirecTV Check it out!

Its called Campfire Cafe and its on the RFD TV channel and PBS!

I was a regular fan and had DVR set to record it, but RFD-TV isn't on my satellite package any more.

A show I liked even better is Dutch Oven Cooking on public television.  Haven't seen it on the schedule lately, but it was more like Cody & Leree's camp than Johnny Nix's resort camping.

It's cooling down here; time to get the camp fire's going.

RFD TV also used to have 'Ol C. Dubb, I think it was called "Campfire Cookin'" I haven't seen it lately though. I thought the best Johnny Nix series was the one he did from the Jack Daniels distillery. A little sour mash is good, a lot of sour mash is even better. Grin

RFD TV (channel 231 on Dish Network) now has Cowboy Flavor on at 5 am Thursday, 4:40 am and pm Saturday and 4:30 pm Sunday. All times are Eastern.

The show is similar to Cee Dub's, with outdoor cooking in Dutch oven and over a hot grill. It's set at a Southern California ranch near Santa Maria.

I don't think either of Cee Dub's shows are on national TV at this moment. I didn't see any reference to the shows on his website (www.ceedubs.com). The shows were Dutch Oven and Camp Cooking (the PBS show) and Dutch Oven Cookin' with Cee Dub (a privately produced show).

Unlike his original show, the latter show tried to reach a more modern audience. It featured things like a pool-side Dutch oven party, a tailgate party and a visit to a winery.
