Does anyone have any recommendations for spotting scopes?

My boss last season let me use his Leica scope, but it's a little out of the $$$ range for me.

yes the leica's are very $$$$    but worth it in the long run, leapold makes  a couple great spotters that are lots cheaper then the leica's but still run you 1000 $+ but they are pretty good but after  that i would look at  what MINOX, VORTEX,  and a few others and see what they have to offer, i think the same way with bino's , get the best you can possibly afford even if you have to wait a little longer. in optics your money does pay  great rewards!

Leupold!!!!!!!  For one reason, you can turn the power down to 12 will which allow you to gather much more light than a lot of the high dollar scopes that only go down to 20 power.  They are a great company also.

Yeah, I have the Leupold compact scope.  I think it's 15-30 x 50.  It's pretty good glass for $500 - and comes with a nice hardsided case, mini tripod, and soft case for stuffing the scope in a backpack.  It is definitely easy to carry around, I always throw it in my daypack when I go horn hunting.  The only downside for me is that I wear glasses, and there is no adjustable eye cup for relief.  Works great when I'm wearing contacts!

It's a   Leica Televid  77 with a straight 20X60 eyepiece. I'll have to do some checking on price's. But it will be real fair. It is in like new condition.

The model I have weighs 21.5 oz and is 11 in long.  They make an even smaller 10-20x40 model that is 15.8 oz and 7.5 in long!!!!!!!

Maybe I better auction it off. When you look up prices on them they list the eye piece separate. PM me your bids.

The less money you spend usually equates to less capability in focusing.  The cheaper brands like Bushnell, are extemely hard to get the focus right becauseof  courser threads and the short depth of field. I have Nikon. 15-45. Anything over 45 x is about wasted as  the mirage usually kills you at those powers
