Never give up..

« on: May 10, 2008, 08:13:55 AM »

Caught some 70 inch sturgeons here the other day with some life long hunting and fishing buddys, man do they put up a fight Shocked  funny thing is, is that we were fishing for walleyes and happend to hook into these sturgeon, they gave our walleye gear a huge work out. After we hooked into 'em, we had to pull up anchor and follow the fish with the boat,  it was a group effort, one guy had the rod, next guy driving the boat etc.  took about a half hour to get'em in.

There used to be a little road side cafe up towards Bonnivlle that had some pics. on the wall of them draging Sturgin out of the river with a team of mules. They had some at one time in the dam hatchery that were well over 8' long.
