Lay your sling ropes out like this.


I like to pack my hock up and back, so put the front of your rear quarter in the first loop.


Pull tight in between the dee's.


Then pull your slack out the back.  It makes it much easier to get tight this way.


Put your second loop over the back of the quarter and,


tighten by pulling the tail of your sling rope that falls underneath the quarter.


Finish off with a packers knot on top.  I like to have my quarters tight to the front Dee and slightly off the back Dee.  That way, its not so top heavy.
