Large elk herds are still down in the low country providing great viewing and hunting practice opportunities.
The cow elk are calving during this time. The fishing is generally pretty good, but undammed streams will have high muddy water.
It is a good time to hunt spring black bear. Usually pretty mild weather and without the summer bugs.

The snowpack has receded to allow for longer hikes into the backcountry. The bull elk will have good antler growth by now. The high mountain streams and lakes have awesome fishing.

Guide, Packer and Camp Cook School Information
A 50% deposit of total tuition is required with ALL school applications. It must be received by us to reserve your spot in a class.
The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to course start date. All monies paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
